Good win for the reigning champions, but the match was closer than it looks.
Dave was trailing Ros in the first game when the bar went and needed to keep the red up. He succeeded, but kept the whites up as well! Ros failed to take advantage and Dave cleared at the second attempt, winning with a final 400.
The second was also close, with John holding on to a modest lead, until Jan came back with a decisive 3k break.The third was similar, with both players wasting chances, Ric just holding on with a break near the end.
The last two games weren't so close. Richard looked comfortable from the start against Ros, in the 4PR game; and Dave didn't give Trevor much of a chance, opening with a break of 4740. [Ric Bithell]
